Today is Friday the 13th. And with the way this year has gone, we really don’t need any more bad luck. But a recent study in the U.K. found Friday the 13th might not be as cursed as we all thought, at least when it comes to dying on the job.
The study found that people were more likely to die at work on Tuesday the 8th than Friday the 13th. In the study, 373 people died at work on a Tuesday, and 84 of the deaths happened on the 8th of the month. That’s compared to 327 people who died on a Friday, and 80 of the deaths were on the 13th.
The study also found construction was the industry where you’re most likely to be killed on the job, followed by service personnel like soldiers, firefighters, and the police and farmers. And if you’re wondering when the next Tuesday the 8th is, it’s next month. (iNews)
